Loopy Doopy Rooftop Bar
Looking for something to do in New York City? Perhaps on a quiet summer day during the week! Well, do we have the perfect thing. First of all, I want to start by saying if you can fit it in during the week I would highly recommend it, the weekends get very crowded. We started our day on a Tuesday afternoon up on the rooftop bar at Loopy Doopy, with lovely views of the water and a nice breeze. You can choose various cold cocktails and beer or as I do their famous Loopy Doopy Prosecco ice pop cocktails. You choose between a rosé or prosecco base and then whichever popsicle choice you like. I love the peach mint rosecco. So yummy and refreshing on a warm summer day. It is the perfect spot to relax with friends, meet new friends, and capture that coveted Instagram shot. They also offer a sip and sail package. Contact the conradnewyork.com hotel for more information. And to check hours and days Loopy Doopy is open. It changes seasonally and the cocktail menu changes too.

Le District
French Savoir Faire is the heart of the financial district in New York City. Established in 2015, Le District is a jewel and a must for anyone looking for a beautiful day or evening in the city.
After cocktails, we walked across the street through the glass dome atrium filled with towering palm trees and shopping. Feeling both as if we were still in the greatest city in the world, yet like we were also on a vacation someplace else. That is just one of the many many reasons I love NYC, there is always something new to do and old favorites to revisit. Once you get out of the atrium you will have arrived at Le District, and WOW, it is gorgeous. Le District is a bustling marketplace of exciting restaurants, fresh grocery stores, cafés, bars, and restaurants. The atrium nearby is filled with shopping, stop by at j crew and see if Carol is in, she is an amazing stylist and can find you almost anything you are looking for. She can also be found at the Short Hills NJ location! The views of yachts, families pushing strollers, joggers, blue and white striped umbrellas along the waterfront was joyful to see and felt like a resort. The upscale food emporium has anything and everything you could possibly want for a lunch, dinner, picnic by the water, a boat ride, or indoors on bistro tables. We chose to eat at Beaubourg at Le District, we enjoyed a delicious dinner with spectacular views of the sunset. After dinner, we grabbed some cookies and cappuccinos and walked along the water.
Le District is adjacent to the North Cove Harbor a few steps away from famous landmark destinations. The Statue of Liberty Ferry, the New York Stock Exchange, City Hall, the World Trade, the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the Freedom Tower, and Brookfield Park.
Located in Lower Manhattan’s, Battery Park City, and bordered by West Street, the Hudson River, Vesey and Liberty Streets.

You can also have cocktails on the flotilla from the New Jersey side via The Manhattan Yacht Club (more on that coming soon).

I love fashion and have so much fun planning my outfits, especially when I’m travelling and in NYC.
I wore an off the shoulder mini dress with one sleeve. I paired it with killer high heel black pumps covered in studs. They can be found here stevemadden.com dilliards.com macys.com and they are super affordable. (check each link as they may have offers of 25% off??) I received a lot of comments about my outfit, in particular, my shoes and insanely chic handbag by Staud. I am beyond obsessed with Staud, their clothes and accessories fit perfectly into my lifestyle as a busy Mom, Wife, Designer, and World Traveller who is always on the go. I like to look polished and chic, yet very comfortable and Staud has been added to my new favorite online store. I’m not sure if the handbag has sold out or not, I purchased it in the large size. My cuff bracelet was purchased on vacation at the Hippie Market in Ibiza Spain while sailing the Balearic Islands. A post on that trip is in the works!
Recipes
Roasted Cauliflower Pesto Rigatoni with Roasted Salmon on the Side
- Cook your rigatoni pasta according to directions on the box
- Toss with either homemade or good store-bought pasta until coated
- Add roasted cauliflower and toss (I cut my head of cauliflower into small florets and toss with olive oil, salt and pepper and roast in the oven until tender)
- Grate parmesan Reggiano cheese over the top and serve
I like to add a roasted or grilled piece of salmon or chicken on the side for the non-vegetarians. My vegetarian friends love this dish sans the fish or chicken. It's super easy and yummy on a hot summer day and it's great at room temperature on a picnic. Pack it into a container along with bread, cold rosé, some fresh fruit with a chantilly cream, and head to a local garden for a summer picnic.
Rosecco Loopy Doopy Peach Mint Bourbon Cocktails
- Add a splash of bourbon and a handful of fresh mint and muddle away in a large wine glass
- Add some pureed fresh peaches or frozen
- Fill with a rosé or prosecco
- Add a gourmet ice pop and enjoy
- My favorite part of this are the pieces of peaches at the bottom of the glass with all the yummy mint flavor and bubbly that they absorbed
Behind delicious! Cheers!!!
