Saratoga Springs in upstate New York is a delightful Victorian town with a vibrant social scene. Located only 3 hours north of New York City, an easy train ride away, 25 minutes from Albany, about an hour from southern Vermont, and only a few hours from Montreal, Canada.

Spend a day at the historic racetrack, have dinner at Lake Local, and watch the sunset over the water. With Lake George nearby, as well as the states capital, ski mountains in Vermont and much more, you are guaranteed a wonderful getaway all year round.

Lobster Ravioli a`la Gideon Putnam
Melt 1 stick of butter in a saucepan with 2-3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
Lightly sauté 2-3 gloves of minced garlic.
Add sliced black olives to taste.
Add 4 diced tomatoes to the pan.
2 tablespoons of drained capers.
A package of frozen spinach cooked and drained.
Salt and pepper to taste.
1 cup of champagne or good white wine.
Simmer
Remove from heat and add minced fresh parsley and the juice of a half to a whole lemon depending on your taste preference.
In a pot of rapidly boiling salted water, add the box of Lobster Ravioli. If not using homemade then purchase a good quality form your local gourmet shop. Cook according to the directions on the package. Remove the raviolis and then pour the Olive Champagne sauce over the top and serve along with a lovely green salad, French baguette, and cold glass of Bubbly. Serve a decadent chocolate soufflé for dessert. Place a fresh Flower Girl arrangement on the table, play some music, and light a few candles for the perfect romantic eventing!
