Holiday Travel Guide: NYC - Part 1

My love for New York City is endless, as are the many wonderful and joyous things this enchanted city has to offer. Although I love any day I’m in New York City, Christmas time is the most magical time to be here. Whether it's your first time or you have lived there your entire life, the shop windows are a welcoming sight to all who pass by. Iconic stores like Macy's, Saks, Barneys, Bergdorf, and Tiffanys are just a few of the most famous. Bergdorf Goodman’s holiday windows are my favorite this year. They are decorated with a variety of cultural city icons such as The American Museum of Natural History. The window is spectacular and features dinosaur skeletons encrusted in 1.5 million crystals! While you are there you can enjoy a delicious meal in the Bergdorf restaurant with magnificent views of the city. Call ahead for a reservation especially during the busy holiday season. Stop off on the fourth floor to visit Linda Fargo’s brilliantly curated boutique. Trust me, you will capture THE Instagram shot of the day and take home invaluable creative inspiration for upping your fashion game. I love Bergdorf so much I wrote a little poem about it.

The Blue Box Cafe at Tiffany & Co. oh my!!! Put on your prettiest holiday outfit and head up to the fourth floor to view the beautiful home accessories line that makes the perfect gift for that Town & Country girl or guy in your life. If you're lucky enough to score that coveted ressie in the Blue Box Cafe (via Tiffany.com link for reservation) you will be enveloped in the iconic Tiffany Blue while enjoying a lovely meal. Don’t forget to see the holiday windows on your way in, they are decorated in the finest Tiffany style

The Plaza Hotel is a must stop! Whether you are headed to the bar, having high tea, dining in the food court, or just there to take in the gorgeous foyer and flowers. I highly recommend high tea: it's a must at least once in your lifetime. The Palm Court provides an unworldly dining experience, surrounded by towering palm trees and orchids. The tea is piping hot and the service is some of the finest in the city. Young and old will enjoy this dining experience.

Bergdorf Poem
Flower Girl was off on a fashion adventure
What could be more beautiful than NYC in the early autumn weather
She popped into Bergdorfs for high tea with friends
Fabulous designs and people were around every bend
Then off to the fourth floor to see Linda's boutique
Curated by Ms. Fargo where everything was brilliantly unique
The colors, the patterns, textures, and designs
the leopard and emerald where blowing her mind
She gathered ideas for her floral designs, for her books, and her poetry, with plenty of inspiration to find
Next, it was onto floor two where the maestro of shoes was taking his cue
His devotee fans swarmed into his view
catching a glimpse of Mr. Blahnik and his masterful creations too
NYC I love you more than you know I'd like to take you home with me wrapped in a giant pink bow

See You Soon
xoxo
